Plane Pal™ is a custom designed inflatable cushion that fills the space between your child’s seat and the seat in front. Made from high quality nylon, Plane Pal is light weight and compact and comes with a pump for stress free, easy inflation after take off. Plane Pal can also be used on trains and buses and for car travel.

Every airline sets its own rules
Plane Pal™ meets the IATA safety checklist for in-flight comfort devices, and more than 60 airlines have reviewed and approved it. Each airline still has its own policy, though. Some have extra seating rules, and a few don't allow any comfort devices at all. Check your airline's rules below, and confirm with them before you fly, because policies can change.
How to use Plane Pal™ safely on every flight:
Seating: On most approved airlines, Plane Pal™ can be used in a window seat, or a middle seat in the centre rows. Each airline sets its own rules, though. On smaller aircraft, Jetstar and Qantas only allow it in a window seat, and Garuda only allows it in window seats. Check the links below or contact your airline before you book your seat.
Inflating: Some airlines don't allow battery-powered or self-inflating devices on board. On those flights, you'll need to inflate Plane Pal™ manually. Check your airline's rules below before you fly.
Timing: Don't use it during take-off or landing. Inflate it once the seatbelt sign is off after take-off, and pack it away before landing.
Seatbelt: Keep your child's seatbelt fastened the whole time. You can ask the crew for an infant extender belt to help with this.
Your space only: Plane Pal™ must stay within your own seat area. It must never get in another passenger's way, attach to the seat in front, push against it or block it in any way, or hang into the footwell next to you.
NEW: Qantas and Jetstar now allow Plane Pal – manual inflation only. Battery-powered pumps can't be used onboard these airlines, so if you have the Self-Inflating Plane Pal, simply inflate it using the manual valve instead of the pump.

The above list is indicative only and provided on a "best endeavours basis", based on responses from airlines and/or previous customer experiences. If you are ever travelling with a Plane Pal and are declined use on one of our approved airlines, let us know as soon as possible as we track this information and aim to ensure all airlines are educated around its use. In using this information, you accept we can't be held responsible should the airline refuse use. As advised in section 1.4 of our terms, refunds are not allowed where a third party carrier refuses a Plane Pal's use.
You accept full responsibility for contacting your carrier prior to purchasing to check they don't expressly exclude the use of a Plane Pal onboard, as policies can change frequently e.g from our experience, we do find that depending on who you speak to the answer can change back and forth during one phone call!
